Attention applicants interested in participating in the vocational education and training system

On July 20, 2020, by Government Decree N449, the Ministry of Internally Displaced Persons from the Occupied Territories, Labour, Health and Social Affairs of Georgia approved the State Program for Vocational Training, Retraining and Professional Development of Job Seekers. The aim of the program is the professional training, retraining and/or enhancement of competitiveness of job seekers through subsequent internships in the workplace and the development of key competencies in labor market-demanded professions, thereby promoting the employment of job seekers.
It is noteworthy that this year, for the first time, the provider of the vocational training and retraining program has been defined as a legal entity which, in accordance with Government Decree №131 of the Government of Georgia dated March 15, 2019, “On the Approval of the Rules and Conditions for Acquiring the Right to Implement Vocational Training and Vocational Retraining Programs and Deeming Them Recognized by the State”, has acquired/confirmed the right to implement a vocational training/retraining program. This means that job seekers, upon successful completion of the program, will receive a state-recognized certificate.
Within the framework of this program, the Ministry of Internally Displaced Persons from the Occupied Territories, Labour, Health and Social Affairs of Georgia has approved the list of demanded professions by region (see appendices), in accordance with which vocational training/retraining programs must be implemented.
Legal entities wishing to participate in the program, which have acquired/confirmed the right to implement a vocational training/retraining program in accordance with Government Decree №131 of the Government of Georgia dated March 15, 2019, must send the completed registration application form to the electronic mail of the LEPL - State Employment Support Agency of the Ministry of Internally Displaced Persons from the Occupied Territories, Labour, Health and Social Affairs of Georgia: [email protected].
