The Kvataxevi Church of the Mother of God has been rehabilitated
With the support of the National Agency for Cultural Heritage Preservation of Georgia and the "Kartu" Foundation, the Church of the Dormition of the Mother of God in Kvatakhevi, located in the Kaspi Municipality, has been rehabilitated.
Within the framework of the works, the roof of the temple's dome was fully restored and re-roofed with "Imeretian" tiles. The works were carried out by the company "ABA Group".
The Kvatakhevi Monastery is a monument of the XII-XIII centuries. It was one of the centers of ancient Georgian literacy. Several manuscripts from the monastery's library have survived to this day.
