Three main directions stood out: "I stay home and work out", the White Card campaign, and a sports-themed essay and drawing competition for students.
The campaign involved Olympic, world, and European champions, members of the Georgian national teams, titled athletes, and representatives of various sports federations, including Lasha Talakhadze, Varlam Liparteliani, Nino Salukvadze, Luba Golovina, Vladimer Khinchegashvili, and others.
It is noteworthy that in 2020, Georgia joined the UN initiative aimed at promoting peace and development through sports for the seventh time.
The UN General Assembly proclaimed April 6 (the opening day of the modern Olympic Games - Athens, 1896) as the International Day of Sport for Development and Peace in 2013. Georgia's candidacy has been nominated by the "Peace and Sport" organization for the Initiative of the Year for the second consecutive year.
