Statement of the Ministry of Education and Science of Georgia

For the attention of those entrants and students who enrolled through the Unified National Examinations or were studying in higher education institutions that failed to pass authorization, we would like to inform you that no student's rights will be violated. Furthermore, all students will be redistributed to authorized higher education institutions and will have the opportunity to receive a higher quality education at the same tuition fee. Student mobility will continue until every student is enrolled in the higher education institution of their choice.
Authorization is an external evaluation mechanism that determines the compliance of an institution's self-assessment results with standards established by the state. Authorization is mandatory for all types of educational institutions in order to carry out relevant activities and issue state-recognized educational certificates (documents). The authorization standards are:
- Educational programs;
- Human resources;
- Material resources.
Educational programs must comply with the mission defined by the institution and the requirements stipulated by legislation. Whether a particular educational institution complies with the norms established by the Ministry of Education is determined by external experts.
