Presentation of the entertaining mathematics program - IXL was held

First Deputy Minister of Education and Science of Georgia Koka Seperteladze got acquainted with the presentation of the interactive mathematics program - IXL at the "Mtsignobartukhutsesi" School-Lyceum. The presentation was held in the format of a lesson with fourth-grade students.
Starting from the new academic year, around 300 students of the 4th, 5th, and 6th grades of the "Mtsignobartukhutsesi" School-Lyceum are learning mathematics through educational games. Along with mathematics, the IXL program also involves teaching the English language and computer science. The program, which currently has millions of users, enjoys great popularity worldwide among students, teenagers, and their parents.
In the 2010โ2011 academic year, the "Mtsignobartukhutsesi" School-Lyceum piloted the IXL interactive mathematics program. The piloting results proved to be successful. Students learned mathematics with enthusiasm, mastered English terminology, and successfully utilized information technologies. It is especially important that students who previously showed no interest in learning mathematics became engaged, and by the end of the year, their academic level in mathematics increased significantly.
The program individually generates charts and diagrams for each child, determining how successfully the program is being mastered. To analyze the results, the presented charts and diagrams are provided to the student, parent, teacher, and school administration. The program can be used both at school and at home.
The program was created in the United States of America in 1998, and today it is used in more than 150 countries, with particularly great success in America, Canada, Finland, Ireland, Australia, and New Zealand.
