Minister's Statement

Once again, Member of Parliament Jondo Baghaturia, employing his habitual falsehoods, is attempting to mislead the Georgian public. The public school in Martvili District, which was named in honor of Gela Chedia, a national hero who fell in the 2008 Russia-Georgia war, has not been liquidated, and education at this school is being carried out at the primary level of general education.

As for Mr. Baghaturia's other statements, I would like to note that, unlike him and his masters, as a patriot of my country, I have repeatedly expressed my position that in the August 2008 Russia-Georgia war, Russia carried out a military intervention against Georgia using the most brutal methods and occupied 20% of the country's territories.

Once again, I call upon Jondo Baghaturia and figures like him to cease speculating on the issues of children, teachers, and schools.
