Statement of the Ministry of Education and Science of Georgia

On the initiative of the Government of Georgia, the Ministry of Education and Science of Georgia, within the framework of various active educational programs, will finance the studies in higher education institutions in Georgia or abroad for residents of the Autonomous Republic of Abkhazia and the Tskhinvali region (former Autonomous Oblast of South Ossetia) who have been legitimately granted a neutral identity card and/or a neutral travel document prior to the restoration of Georgia's jurisdiction in the said territories.

Prior to requesting funding, such candidates are required to submit to the relevant service, along with other documentation requested by the Ministry of Education and Science of Georgia, a neutral identity card and/or a neutral travel document issued by the agency that exercises its authority through an authorized territorial service.
