Business Forum at the Vocational College

The forum was attended by representatives of up to 30 prominent companies operating in Georgia, the Architects' Association of Georgia, and the Georgian Employers' Association. The majority of them represented the construction and trade sectors.
In 2007, "Spektri" underwent full rehabilitation, re-equipment, and the introduction of programs tailored to labor market demands. However, the updating of educational programs and the introduction of new methods and technologies at the college are ongoing to this day.
The college implements 32 vocational education programs. These include: general construction worker; locksmith; tailor; electrician; refrigerator and automotive repair technician; sculptor (architectural details); food product ecological control specialist; environmental protection technician; wood art processing specialist; accountant; office manager; gardener; topographer; computer networks and systems technician; printing specialist, and others.
This year, the highest competition at the college is for the programs in food product ecological control, heavy machinery operation, and general construction.
Currently, 469 vocational students are studying various vocational programs at "Spektri". Among them, 350 students are funded by a 1,000 GEL voucher. In total, by the end of 2012, the college will retrain 550 applicants.
