The Summer School of Kartvelology, implemented on the basis of the National Centre of Manuscripts, officially closed today. The project involved 22 foreign participants interested in the Georgian language and manuscript heritage. Over the course of ten days, the students attended lectures and practical sessions, toured various regions of Georgia, and familiarized themselves with Georgian culture.
This year, the Shota Rustaveli National Science Foundation will fund four summer schools from the state budget. The aim of the project is to engage foreign researchers in Kartvelological scientific fields and, overall, to popularize Kartvelology in scientific centers worldwide.
