Khatia Dekanoidze met with the rectors of higher education institutions

Khatia Dekanoidze also visited the Gremelashvili family in the village of Shalauri, who were affected by the disaster and have two students in the household. The Minister personally informed the family members about the President's initiative to cover their tuition fees for the 2012-2013 academic year.

As known, the state will fully cover the tuition fees for the new 2012-2013 academic year for students studying in state higher education institutions from families in the Kakheti region affected by the natural disaster. The details necessary for the implementation of this project were discussed at the meeting with the rectors.

The decision to cover tuition fees for students was announced by the President of Georgia during a meeting with disaster victims in Kakheti.
