Attention applicants for vocational education!

Admissions for the first three levels of vocational programs with state-budget and non-budgetary funding are announced in state-founded vocational education institutions.

State-budget funding implies 100% (with a 1,000 GEL voucher) or 70% (with 700 GEL) funding of a vocational student by the state, while in case of enrollment in a non-budgetary program, the applicant pays the tuition fee in full in accordance with the rule established by the educational institution.

A 1,000 GEL voucher is issued to:

“a) a person whose family is registered in the unified database of socially vulnerable families and whose rating score as of September 3, 2012 does not exceed 100,000 (one hundred thousand);

b) a person who completed the basic level of general education in the year of announcing student admissions to the vocational education institution and did not continue studies at the secondary level;

c) a person who, in the year of announcing student admissions to the vocational education institution, suspended studies at the secondary level of general education, or received complete general education and did not continue studies at the educational program of the first level of academic higher education.“

d) a person who is under state care, which is confirmed by the information provided by the authorized administrative body.

e) a person who has passed testing in general skills and overcome the minimum competence threshold in accordance with the rule established by the Ministry of Education and Science of Georgia.

A student who does not belong to the categories listed above shall be funded in a priority vocational educational program at a vocational educational institution with 70% of the voucher amount.

Students of higher educational institutions and pupils of general educational institutions cannot benefit from the voucher.
