Dimitri Shashkini Met With Around 200 Teachers of Guria Region
Minister of Education and Science, Dimitri Shashkini met with regional teachers in Ozurgeti Public School โ2 and spoke about ongoing educational process, planned and already implemented activities in the scope of the reforms. Meeting was held in Q/A format and the Minister answered teachersโ questions on teachersโ certification, Unified entry and graduate exams, school rehabilitation and other important issues.
- 95 public and 4 private schools function in Guria region.
- 2, 750 teachers work and 22,596 school children study there;
- In the framework of mega program โIakob Gogebashviliโ 2 schools were built, 5 public schools were fully rehabilitated and 10 schools partially renovated in 2006-2010.
- In the scope of Deer Leap foundation, regional schools were provided with 880(21/1) computers in 2006-2010.
Minister regularly holds meetings with the teachers of different regions. Dimitri Shashkini will personally introduce ongoing educational reforms to the teachers at working meetings that are held systematically.
