"Second Chance at Education" – Presentation of the Discussion Document Held

The aim of the project was to create a national model and action plan for socially vulnerable children, children with behavioral problems, and those left out of the educational process, which will facilitate the realization of their right to education and their successful integration into society.

For the purpose of effective regulation of the issue, an advisory board was established with the participation of representatives from state, non-governmental, and international organizations, whose function was to coordinate and supervise the program.

The project lasted for nine months, and within its framework, the following activities and events were carried out: identification of groups of children out of school/at risk of dropping out, analysis of the existing legislative framework and institutional arrangements, analysis of foreign experience, division of identified risk groups according to relevant educational needs, determination of the list of necessary teaching and educational resources, development of recommendations, and others. Consequently, the discussion document for the national model of "Second Chance Education" was created.

The program will be implemented in close cooperation with the Psychological Center established on the basis of the Educational Institution Mandaturi Service of the Ministry. The partners of the program are relevant state agencies, the non-governmental sector, and international organizations.
