The School Mandaturi Service celebrated the 4th anniversary of its establishment

The Mandaturi Service has summarized the results of its 4 years of operation.

Over the past year and a half, the Mandaturi Service has undergone qualitative changes. As a result, the Mandaturi Service has become acceptable to the public and focused on student safety. It provides schools with comprehensive services through the Mandaturi, psychological centers, and vocational orientation/career planning.

Mandaturi undergo continuous training and constantly improve their qualifications by familiarizing themselves with new programs. Consequently, in order to ensure a safe physical environment for students, they are primarily focused on assessing potential risks in the school environment and preventing crime. As a result of the changes implemented recently, the functions that caused the most public dissatisfaction have been removed from the Mandaturi Service. All the aforementioned factors have led to a significant increase in demand from schools where Mandaturi do not yet serve.

A year ago, a psychological center was established on the basis of the Mandaturi Service, staffed by professional personnel. This center provides psycho-social services to students with psychological problems and behavioral disorders, and, upon need and request, to their parents and school staff. Psychological centers operate in Tbilisi, Kutaisi, and Batumi. In accordance with existing demand, similar centers are planned to be opened in Poti, Telavi, Rustavi, and Zugdidi in the near future.

The Mandaturi Service also implements the project "Vocational Orientation and Career Planning" initiated by the Ministry of Education and Science, for which the Mandaturi Service has been staffed with relevant specialists. Within the framework of the project, vocational orientation and career planning specialists systematically process and collect information regarding labor market demands, participate in conducting vocational orientation and career planning classes together with teachers in 107 selected pilot schools, and organize meetings and consultations with interested parties.

The Mandaturi Service also cooperates with international organizations such as UNICEF, USAID, PH International, and NASRO. This cooperation makes its activities effective. Such cooperation will continue and deepen.

Within the framework of the event, 83 Mandaturi, who were selected through a competition and underwent a special educational training program, were awarded certificates and appointed to public schools.
