Address to schools, students, parents, and teachers

Several cases of viral meningitis have been reported in general education institutions. For the purpose of awareness, safety, and prevention among adolescents, teachers, and parents, we once again urge you to strictly observe sanitary and hygienic norms both inside and outside the school!
Schools are required to implement the following preventive measures:
- Warn students and teachers about the importance of strictly observing personal hygiene;
- Ensure intensive treatment of restrooms and cafeteria areas with disinfectants;
- Inform students not to share utensils while eating;
- Carry out disinfection, disinsection, and deratization works throughout the school premises;
- Intensively clean frequently touched surfaces using wet wiping or disinfectants.
In the event that primary symptoms of viral meningitis are observed:
- Irritability
- Loss of appetite
- High fever
- Severe headache
- Stiff neck
- Sensitivity to bright light
- Drowsiness
- Nausea, vomiting
Consult a doctor immediately!
Schools where cases of student illness with viral meningitis have been reported must immediately carry out extraordinary disinfection of the school. Parents should ensure the monitoring of their children's compliance with sanitary and hygienic norms at home.
