Cooperation with the Private Sector

In order to develop vocational education, a memorandum of cooperation was signed between the Ministry of Education and Science of Georgia, the Joint Stock Company "Sakkabeli", and 16 vocational education program-implementing institutions.

The memorandum of cooperation was signed by Ketevan Natriashvili, First Deputy Minister of Education and Science of Georgia, Edisher Mamaladze, Chairman of the Supervisory Board of the Joint Stock Company "Sakkabeli", and the heads of vocational institutions – "Mermisi", "Iberia", "Opizari", "Modus", "Black Sea", "Aisi", "Lakada", "Spektri", "Fazisi", "Prestige", "Akhali Talga", "Gantiadi", as well as Batumi Shota Rustaveli State University, Akaki Tsereteli State University, LEPL Georgian Technical University, and Gori Teaching University.

The cooperation envisages providing the aforementioned educational institutions with cable stands, handing over company ID cards for educational purposes, and promoting the retraining of vocational students, their future employment, and the training of qualified personnel.
According to the memorandum, the Ministry of Education and Science of Georgia will also ensure the involvement of the Joint Stock Company "Sakkabeli" in the process of reviewing/developing professional standards and in activities planned in terms of vocational orientation, while the company will cooperate with vocational institutions and ensure the selection and vocational retraining of vocational students.
