Georgian scientists will benefit from Elsevier's largest international scientific database
Georgian scientists will be able to use Elsevier's largest international scientific database free of charge. The respective agreement was signed today by Sulkhan Sisauri, General Director of the Shota Rustaveli National Science Foundation.
Scientifically published literature from around the world will become electronically accessible to scientists, not only at the level of short abstracts, but also in the form of full-text versions of research papers. Elsevier's electronic database will also make it possible to retrieve citation and other bibliometric information.
Furthermore, the Shota Rustaveli National Science Foundation will gain access to (SciVal Funding™ ) , a search database for funding researchers and scientific projects, as well as a reviewer search database.
Access to up-to-date scientific information will, on the one hand, help the Foundation, scientific research institutions, and higher education institutions to carry out their functions at a high academic level, and on the other hand, enable Georgian researchers and students to actively participate in international scientific projects.
Over the course of three years, the Shota Rustaveli National Science Foundation will gradually pay up to 1 million 420 thousand GEL from the state budget for the said service.
