Art in Vocational Education
With the aim of developing and popularizing artistic fields in vocational education, an exhibition of felt works created by students as well as works by renowned painters, icon painters, and photo artists was held at the Kachreti Vocational College "Aisi". A tasting of wine produced by the students and an award ceremony were also held.
On the same day, the foundation was laid for the Ilia Chavchavadze Palace of Art. The event was attended by Tamar Sanikidze, Minister of Education and Science of Georgia, and Deputy Ministers. Among the invited guests were prominent representatives of the art sector.
The Ilia Chavchavadze Palace of Art, of regional significance, will host numerous interesting artistic and literary events in the future and will lay the groundwork for many cultural initiatives. Here, prominent figures of art will meet with students, conduct masterclasses, and hold literary and musical evenings.
At the multidisciplinary college "Aisi", up to 600 students are acquiring around 22 professions, including artistic fields such as felt artisan and decorative-applied textile specialist. With the establishment of the Palace of Art, the college administration also plans to introduce new art programs, specifically in painting and icon painting.
