Teacher House will be built in Zugdidi

According to the Minister, the launch of the Teacher House is extremely important for the region. Local teachers and principals will be provided with on-site short- and long-term trainings in professional skills and all school subjects, as well as seminars, conferences, and qualification-upgrading courses in the English language, computers, and management. In addition, school teachers and principals will receive financial and legal consultations at the Teacher House. Foreign and Georgian trainers will conduct model lessons and master classes in various subjects, live conferences will be held with schools located in different regions of Georgia, and a library will be established containing all types of books, including textbooks that will help teachers and principals improve their professional skills.

In 2014, the rehabilitation of 54 public schools is planned in Samegrelo, along with the assessment of the emergency status of 2 schools and the planning of relevant measures, and the gasification of 6 schools.

Full rehabilitation of the Senaki Vocational College of Meskhia University, renovation of restrooms, construction of a cattle-breeding farm, and gasification of the college. Also, rehabilitation of the student dormitory of the same college (teachers of the vocational college will also be present at the meeting with the professors).
