The final meeting of "Merry Starts" was held

The project is implemented within the framework of the "Program for the Promotion of Fun Sports and Physical Education" and involves schools from various regions of Georgia. Today, the final tournament of the 2013–2014 season was held. The final was attended by the teams of Chokhatauri Public School No. 1, Marneuli Public School No. 6, Tserovani Public School No. 3, and Tbilisi Public School No. 26.

The aim of "Merry Starts" is to promote sports and physical activity among the adolescent generation through sports-recreational and educational-entertainment competitions, popularize a healthy lifestyle, foster tolerant attitudes in the consciousness of the younger generation, assist in self-realization, and support the participation of children deprived of parental care and those with special educational needs in the "Merry Starts" games by preparing appropriate conditions for them.

Lia Gigauri, Deputy Minister of Education and Science of Georgia, and Tamaz Tevzadze, Deputy Minister of Sport and Youth Affairs, attended the opening of the final match.
