Dana Hyde, Chief Executive Officer of the Millennium Challenge Corporation (MCC), and Ketevan Natriashvili, First Deputy Minister of Education and Science of Georgia, visited the Kachreti Vocational Education Center "Aisi" today. They toured the vocational training laboratories, attended the practical learning process, and held meetings with the center's teachers and students.
"Within the framework of the Millennium Challenge Compact, 16 million US dollars are allocated for the development of vocational education. At this stage, preparatory work and the selection of the grant-managing company are underway. Today, the delegation familiarized themselves with the investments made by various countries in vocational education at the Kachreti Vocational College. Special attention was paid to the American investment in the development of vocational education. All of this represents a very interesting experience and interesting examples that help students acquire new knowledge, which in itself improves employment rates. We believe that this experience will be utilized and shared," stated Ketevan Natriashvili.
Dana Hyde is visiting Georgia within the framework of the Memorandum of Understanding signed between San Diego State University and the Government of Georgia. On the same day, Dana Hyde also visited other educational institutions.
