Students in Mukhrani will study in a new school starting from September
A modern school has been built in the village of Mukhrani, Mtskheta Municipality. At this stage, both interior and exterior finishing works, as well as yard landscaping, are underway at the school, which was inspected today by Tamar Sanikidze, Minister of Education and Science of Georgia.
The building of Mukhrani Public School No. 2 was constructed at the beginning of the last century. The construction of a new school on the site of the dilapidated and worn-out building began in December 2013. Designed for 240 students, it will start functioning by the new academic year.
Modern, high-quality construction materials meeting international standards have been used for the construction of the school. The building is equipped with modern heating and ventilation systems. The school will feature a natural science laboratory and a library. In addition to classrooms and the administration office, the educational building also includes a cafeteria, a doctor's office, and auxiliary storage rooms. By the new academic year, the school will be provided with modern school desks, blackboards, and new computers.
Students of all age groups in the new school will have an individual recreation zone. An elevator has been installed in the public school, and the entire building, along with the yard landscaping, is adapted for students with special educational needs. The school will have an open sports ground and a gymnasium.
Mukhrani Public School No. 2 is one of the 9 schools whose construction began across Georgia at the end of 2013.
