The new academic year has begun.

"We are investing our utmost efforts in the development of the education system so that children have all the conditions necessary to receive a quality education," stated the Prime Minister of Georgia during his visit to Tbilisi Public School No. 133.
The Head of Government, Irakli Garibashvili, and the Minister of Education and Science of Georgia, Tamar Sanikidze, congratulated the students and teachers of School No. 133 on the beginning of the new academic year. According to the Prime Minister, it is gratifying that students are starting the school year in a renewed school.
"I came here today to congratulate you on the beginning of the new academic year in this wonderful, renewed school! I congratulate each and every student! I congratulate the teachers! I especially congratulate the first-graders on this day! I want to wish everyone success! I wish that the years spent here, in this school, will be a remarkably interesting period in your life. The role of teachers in the upbringing and development of a child is very important. We will do everything to ensure that the profession of a teacher becomes dignified and appreciated, so that they can raise a worthy generation," stated Irakli Garibashvili.
The Head of Government and the Minister of Education toured the renewed school, which underwent rehabilitation works. Rehabilitation works have been carried out in more than 1,000 schools, and new schools are also being built.
While talking to the teachers, the Prime Minister also touched upon the issue of increasing teachers' salaries. According to him, in 2012โ2013, the salaries of teachers and other school personnel were increased, and teachers' leave conditions were improved.
"I want to tell you that in 2015, additional financial resources will be allocated, and the regulation of the teachers' salary policy will begin. Teachers' salaries will also be increased in 2016 and 2017. The increase in teachers' remuneration will depend solely and exclusively on their achievements. This will increase the motivation of each and every one of you," Irakli Garibashvili told the school's teachers.
