International Day for Disaster Risk Reduction Observed

On October 24, LEPL Tbilisi Public School N198 celebrated the International Day for Disaster Reduction, the purpose of which is to increase public engagement in disaster risk reduction activities and strengthen their preparedness for emergencies.

During the event, students from Tbilisi Public Schools N198, N202, and N203 once again reminded the public of the relevance of disaster risk reduction. Invited guests had the opportunity to personally participate in the planned activities.

The event was held within the framework of the Disaster Risk Reduction project, implemented by the organization "Save the Children" with the financial support of the European Commission's Humanitarian Aid and Civil Protection Department (ECHO). 

The event was attended by representatives from the Ministry of Education and Science of Georgia, the Emergency Management Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia, the Ministry of Environment and Natural Resources Protection of Georgia, as well as international and local non-governmental organizations working on this issue.
