Mikheil Batiashvili: "What I am seeing here—insults, lies, manipulation, and slander—gives me a strong sense of déjà vu, as if I am living 9 years ago"
Mikheil Batiashvili, Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sport of Georgia, summarized the results of his two-day address in Parliament.
“The day and a half of insults, lies, editing, and slander that I have witnessed here gives me a sense of déjà vu, as if I am living 9 years in the past. Therefore, I would like to thank ‘Georgian Dream’ that today, when I walk out of here, I will no longer live 9 years in the past. I live in a completely different country, where people have the right to express their opinion and the right to spend a day and a half together listening to a covert recording and responding with dignity, in a manner befitting us. I believe that the path we have chosen is aimed solely at reforms and has no alternative,” stated the Minister.
