A flexible opportunity for career development
The Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sport of Georgia and the National Center for Educational Quality Enhancement, in cooperation with the United Kingdom's Good Governance Fund (GGF), have developed new programs for the 5th level of the National Qualifications Framework. A working meeting with interested parties was held today to discuss these programs.
The two-year short-cycle (associate degree) educational program serves as a bridge between vocational and higher education. Its aim is to prepare professionals equipped with technical knowledge and skills that meet the demands of the labor market.
Upon completion of the program, students will have the opportunity, through credit recognition, to continue their studies in a bachelor's program or enter the labor market, where there is a significant demand for high qualifications corresponding to this level, both locally and in Europe. The implementation of the new programs is planned starting in 2020.
