The Minister held a working meeting within the framework of the New School Model
Mikheil Batiashvili held a working meeting with the directors of schools involved in the "New School Model" and representatives of their support groups. The Minister spoke in detail about the project's objectives, implementation methods, expected outcomes, as well as administrative and content-related issues.
โCooperation with educators, their trust, and greater responsibility - these form the foundation of our reform. Therefore, meetings with the leadership and experts of the pilot schools are important to us. These are the professionals who will continue working in schools on a daily basis to introduce new lesson processes. We are working individually with each school on the details of implementing the new model, getting acquainted with the schools' needs so that by the end of May we can already see successful examples of reformed schools,โ stated Mikheil Batiashvili.
Within the framework of the project, Ministry experts work with educators on a daily basis in such key areas as the development and implementation of student development-oriented curricula, the integration of digital technologies into the teaching and learning process, and the creation of an assessment system that promotes progress and development.
As known, the "New School Model" is part of the planned reform in the education system and is proceeding successfully in a pilot mode.
The aim of the project is to develop school culture and improve the quality of teaching and learning through the integration of digital technologies. To promote this, participating schools will undergo partial rehabilitation, full WiFi coverage will be provided, and they will be equipped with computer hardware. The support groups created within the project will also work with educators to develop curricula and effective management approaches. The "New School Model" project will be implemented phased across all public schools in Georgia by 2023.
