โToday we held a meeting with the Minister of Education and Science of Armenia. This is a very topical time for them, as, similarly to Georgia, ministries are being merged in their country as well, and a joint agency for education, science, culture, and sport is being formed. Today we shared our experience and the common strategy that we are implementing following the merger. We will have close cooperation with our Armenian colleagues in this direction. We also discussed the development of a joint scientific platform, which will facilitate the development of scientific projects in both countries. We also shared our experience with our Armenian colleagues regarding the modernization of vocational institutions and introduced the comprehensive reforms being implemented in the education sector. We will certainly cooperate closely and implement more joint projects in the fields of education, culture, and sport,โ stated Mikheil Batiashvili.
A reorganization is currently underway at the Ministry of Education and Science of Armenia, following which the culture and sport components will be added to the said agency. Consequently, one of the main topics of the meeting was precisely this issue โ Mikheil Batiashvili shared Georgia's experience and strategy in this direction with his Armenian colleague.
