Levan Kharatishvili's working visit to the Republic of Moldova

Levan Kharatishvili, Deputy Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sport of Georgia, held bilateral meetings with members of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Moldova within the framework of the Council of Europe mission. During the meetings, discussions focused on the development of effective regional cooperation mechanisms and the establishment of new strategic approaches in the fields of culture and creative industries. Special emphasis was placed on culture as a contributing factor to the country's economic and social development.

Levan Kharatishvili shared the Georgian side's experience with his Moldovan colleagues regarding the reform of the cultural sector and the process of developing a cultural policy document. At this stage, the Republic of Moldova is working on the "Culture Strategy 2030" document, in which the sharing of Georgian experience, as a best practice of the Council of Europe, and recommendations are of utmost importance.

During the visit, plans were also made to establish a working group between the two countries aimed at deepening cooperation in the fields of education, culture, science, and sport.
