A new program has been launched at the Railway College of strategic importance

At the Railway Transport College, for the first time in Georgia, a vocational program for machinists has been introduced. A dedicated training laboratory has been established and equipped to teach one of the most relevant and in-demand professions on the labor market. The project was implemented with the funding of the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sport, and its cost amounts to 256,000 GEL. Today, Deputy Minister Tamar Kitiashvili inspected the new program, the college's activities, and the upgraded training laboratories.
The college also successfully implements 20-22 month educational programs of various railway and transport profiles. At this stage, the college has up to 350 vocational students, including 31 women.
Upon completion of the theoretical course, college students undergo work-based learning directly at Georgian Railway facilities while also receiving remuneration. Upon successful completion of their studies, graduates are guaranteed employment in Georgian Railway enterprises.
The Railway Transport College was fully rehabilitated and equipped with the latest technology with the financial support of the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sport, Georgian Railway, and the Millennium Challenge Fund–Georgia, with a total expenditure of 11 million GEL. The college, where qualified teachers and industry specialists work, became operational in 2018.
