The project of Tbilisi Public School No. 21 named best among PASCH schools worldwide

The project of LEPL Tbilisi Public School No. 21 took first place among the participating schools and was named the best globally within the framework of the international program "Schools: Partners for the Future" (PASCH), initiated by the Federal Foreign Office of Germany.
The winning project "Eco-Tourism", developed by Tbilisi Public School No. 21 in the 2019-2020 academic year together with the Gymnasium am Saarplatz in Homburg, included various interesting and educational activities. Among them, within the framework of reciprocal visits, students studied the flora and fauna of both countries and participated in workshops, trail marking, and herbarium creation processes. The participating parties prepared presentations on the final results of the project, which were presented to the members of the PASCH jury at the end of the project.
Along with the students, teachers, and director of Tbilisi Public School No. 21, the collaborative project involved the Director of the Gymnasium am Saarplatz, Jörger Mathio, program coordinator Simone Lucas, and biology teacher Ralf Dolgast.
In the 2020-2021 academic year, under pandemic conditions, the "Schools: Partners for the Future" initiative will continue actively online with interesting and diverse activities on a different theme.
The PASCH program was launched by the Federal Foreign Office of Germany in February 2008 and unites 2,000 schools worldwide with the aim of creating a global partnership network among schools and fostering interest in the German language among youth. The initiative is coordinated by the Federal Foreign Office of Germany, and its implementation is supported by the Central Agency for Schools Abroad, the Goethe-Institut, the German Academic Exchange Service, and the Pedagogical Exchange Service of the Standing Conference of the Ministers of Education and Cultural Affairs (KMK).
LEPL Tbilisi Public School No. 21 has been participating in the PASCH program for several years and consistently holds a leading position in the list of schools. In 2017, Tbilisi Public School No. 21 entered the top three leaders and was invited to an international conference in Switzerland.
