Giorgi Amilakhvari Conducts Meeting with Georgia's Technical University Faculty

The Minister Education and Science of Georgia, Giorgi Amilakhvari, convened with the Technical University of Georgia's academic community, including its academic council, faculty deans, research institute directors, and university administrators. 

Minister Amilakhvari extended his congratulations to the assembly on Georgia's recent attainment of candidate status from the European Council, attributing this historic milestone to the dedicated efforts of every student, educator, and professor working for the nation's betterment. He also expressed gratitude towards the rector and team of the Technical University for their substantial contributions to the institution's progress. 

The assembly engaged in a comprehensive dialogue about the present state and future trajectory of higher education, examining challenges and strategizing solutions. Topics of discourse included reforming the funding model, updating priority areas, enhancing student support programs, aligning workforce training with market demands, and improving graduate employment prospects. 

A significant focus was placed on the internationalization of higher education, particularly through creating and executing joint and dual degree offerings with partner universities abroad.

The session proceeded in an interactive format, with Minister Amilakhvari addressing inquiries from the Technical University's faculty members.
