Meeting of the Council of Rectors held
A meeting of the Rectors' Council was held at the Ministry of Education and Science of Georgia. The working version of the document concerning the main directions for the development of the education and science system was discussed at the meeting.
Graduates of the vocational college have been employed in the private sector
Based on the cooperation agreement signed between the Kobuleti Vocational Education Institution "New Wave" and the hotel "Guria Palace," the hotel "Guria Palace" has been transferred to the college graduates for full management.

Sensational Discovery at the National Science Library
15 volumes of manuscripts by the great Georgian scientist, politician, and public figure Mikheil (Mikhako) Tsereteli, most of which are unpublished, have been discovered at the National Science Library of the Ministry of Education and Science of Georgia.

A working meeting of representatives of vocational education institutions was held at the Kobuleti Public College "New Wave" on the issues of practical training for students. Representatives of the colleges shared their experience and achieved results regarding relations with employers over the past year.

The Minister of Education and Science of Georgia, Tamar Sanikidze, spoke about the improved quality of school textbooks at a press conference and provided journalists with comprehensive information regarding the progress of the "Student Textbook Provision Program."
International Summer School in Kartvelology "Georgian Manuscript"
The closing event of the international Kartvelology summer school entitled "Georgian Manuscript" was held at the National Center of Manuscripts. Giorgi Sharvashidze, Deputy Minister of Education and Science of Georgia, attended the event and presented certificates to the participants of the summer school.
Georgian students returned as winners from the international olympiad
At the 26th International Olympiad in Informatics (IOI-2014), the Georgian schoolchildren's national team won 1 gold and 2 bronze medals. The winning Georgian national team, consisting of 4 students and 2 supervisors, returned to Georgia at dawn. This year's International Olympiad was held in Taiwan from July 13 to 20.
Meeting with the Directors and Teachers of the Pankisi Gorge
Deputy Minister of Education and Science of Georgia Lia Gigauri met with directors and teachers of public schools in the Pankisi Gorge. Such a large-scale meeting with the ministry's leadership, involving teachers and directors from all schools in the gorge, has not been held in the Pankisi Gorge before.

Meeting with the Non-Governmental Sector
An information meeting related to the vocational education system reform was held at the Ministry of Education and Science of Georgia with civil society representatives, which was opened by Ketevan Natriashvili, First Deputy Minister of Education and Science of Georgia.
Classes in schools will begin on September 15.
In accordance with the amendment introduced to Order No. 84/n of the Minister of Education and Science of Georgia, the start date of the academic year in general educational institutions of Georgia has been set as the first Monday following September 10 (September 15), while the end date has been set as the first Friday following June 10 (June 12).
